Woke

I woke up to it

Threading itself

into threads

that barely held together

,

Staining the

stains

that only stayed

because they

could

barely fade away

,

Infringing itself

on the fringes

because they

could barely hold themselves together

;

Because I could barely hold myself together.

I think we’re always looking for it.

Because we think

that if we find it

we give ourselves

the chance

of finding ourselves.

Because we think

that if we find it

we can finally create

our own peace

from the pieces

that fell apart

;

But we cant really find it,

it finds us.

I Stood There

A blast from the (not so distant) past today!
“I Stood There”

pbhb

I stood there

In a patch of dirt

That

somehow supported

maize stalks

and

side walks.

Both preceding

hues of green

in the form of tress

That gathered

in patches we call forests

,

Each fathered

By birds, herds

and

swarms

of bees

floating in a breeze

Broken only  by  the hills.

Hills

that

rolled

into

the

Sunrise

.

I stood there

thinking about how this isn’t everywhere

Thinking.

Then stopping

myself because

this was

beautiful.

Breathing in the untouched air

marveling in its tranquility

and its innocence.

I stood there,

in a patch of dirt,

that somehow supported maize stalks and side walks.
