my existence
is this constant oscillation
between
feeling so heavy
because everything is so empty
and
feeling so empty
because everything is so heavy

Maybe the only things that stay
are the leaves
stuck
against the screams
of windows
shattering
(as we finally let go)

Internal inclinations push against
walls slowly cracking
amidst faltering
endurance.
Calling it
:
patience.

Maybe this is what hope looks like
Curtains shut
and doors locked
as remnants of existence lay
left behind on window panes
that heard the wanes
and pains
of voices
that remained quiet
for far too long

Presenting Waffles and Words, a weekend’s collection of poetry. On Saturday / Sunday on PiecedByHB.
The train rolled through
scattered
desert plains
and
rusting aeroplanes
As
I chased
and chased
until
I broke through
to reality.
9.15 AM
Morning.
